A file can be split up in as many as 999 parts. SPLIT-IT will give an overhead of only 18 bytes! You have been warned! _____________________________________________ USAGE SPLIT-IT is easy to use. You can just start it from the command-line and enter the questions. Or you can start SPLIT-IT with the filename supplied on the command-line. SPLIT-IT YourFile Or drag-and-drop the file ontop of the SPLIT-IT icon to start the process TO SPLIT a file If you want to split a file into smaller parts then choose 'S'. If SPLIT-IT can't find out the filename then you are ask to enter the name of the file you want to split. After this the maximum size of your parts is asked. This size is entered in byte acurate. Then SPLIT-IT will cut the file into chuncks of the given size. The parts are numbered from filename.1 to filename.xxx TO GLUE a file You can glue a file together again by just drag-and-drop filename.1 on the SPLIT-IT icon. After that the glueing process starts automaticly and it will produce the original file, including extention again. Other ways to start this process is to start SPLIT-IT from the command line, with or without a filename or to start SPLIT-IT and answer the questions. _____________________________________________ [ End of File ]
